Here are some of the fashion trends that New Yorkers are wearing for Summer 2023.

In this episode, we had the pleasure of interviewing Graham Peyton, designer of an up-and-coming brand called Sterre Peyton. The brand's world view is fascinating. Rick Owens continues to be the most popular footwear, and we often see people wearing Salomon on the NYC streets. New Yorkers are also very good at picking great thrift or vintage items and incorporating them into their personal style. Surfers around the world have long held Tahiti close to their hearts. Not only is the Polynesian island nation home to one of surfing’s most beautiful cultures, it also houses one of surfing’s most famous, feared and intimidating waves. Ever since the mind blowing 1998 Gotcha Pro first put Teahupo’o on the map surfers have been fascinated with the ferocious reef break known as “The Wall Of Skulls”. As well as an endless competition highlight reel some of the greatest waves of the past 25 years have been ridden in Tahiti, powered by both paddle and PWC.

In 2024 Teahupo’o will be thrust into the wider global sporting spotlight, after France declared the notorious South Pacific reef pass would become the host surfing venue. Not only will the eyes of the world be focussed on the incredible beauty above and below sea level, but on the people and the way of life that make Tahiti so special. If conditions collude next August the images will be beamed around the world, and the tiny town could change forever.

In the latest episode of No Contest, host Ashton Goggans makes the trans-Pacific pilgrimage to Teahupo’o, the little fishing village that punches above its weight in surfing circles, to run a microscope over the impact the Games will have on this patch of paradise. After touching down in Papeete he connects with modern surfing powerhouses Kauli Vaast, Michel Bourez, Vahine Fierro and Eimeo Czermak, meets the man who can lay claim to first surfing at The End Of The Road, local “Godfather” Peva Levy, and connects with two of the area's favourite modern hosts, Tereva David and Tahurai Henry, to tap into the mana of the islands and find out what makes Tahiti tick.

This special episode of No Contest comes at an important time in the life of one of surfing’s most special corners. We hope you enjoy watching the show as much as we enjoyed pulling it together.

The Minnesota Timberwolves outscored the Denver Nuggets 60-37 in the 2nd half as the Timberwolves defeat the Nuggets in Game 7, 98-90 and advance to the Western Conference Finals. Jaden McDaniels (23 points, 6 rebounds), Karl-Anthony Towns (23 points, 12 rebounds) and Anthony Edwards (16 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists) combined for 62 points in the victory, while Jamal Murray (35 points, 4 3pt. FG) and Nikola Jokic (34 points, 19 rebounds, 7 assists) combined for 69 for the Nuggets in the losing effort.

Minnesota’s 20 point comeback was the largest in a Game 7 in the play-by-play era (1997-98), passing
Cleveland Cavaliers, 18 points vs Magic (R1, 2024)

Minnesota reaches the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2004 when they faced the Lakers (2-4). This is the only other time Minnesota has made it to the Western Conference Finals

This is the 27th time that a team defeated the defending champions after losing to them the postseason prior. Most recently, the Warriors defeated the Cavaliers in the 2017 Finals (4-1) after losing to them in the 2016 NBA Finals (3-4).

The Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers, 114-111 after closing the game on a 13-2 run in the final two and a half minutes, to take a 3-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. Jayson Tatum led Boston with 36 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists while Jaylen Brown added 24 points and 3 assists. Al Horford added 23 points and 5 rebounds while going 7-12 from distance, setting a new Playoff career-high in the process.

Andrew Nembhard led Indiana with a Playoff career-high 32 points, along with 9 assists and 4 rebounds while T.J. McConnell (23 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists), Pascal Siakam (22 points, 6 assists), and Myles Turner (22 points, 10 rebounds) totaled 67 points for Indiana.

Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals will take place on Monday, May 27 (8:00 p.m. ET, ESPN/ESPN2).

• With tonight’s performance, Jayson Tatum has now surpassed 2,500+ PTS, 500+ AST, and 250+ 3PM in his Playoff career. Tatum is the second-fastest player to reach those totals in terms of games played in NBA history. Only Stephen Curry reached those marks in less games:

o Jayson Tatum (107 games)
o James Harden (112 games)
